Meet Matthew

Matthew Flemister has defended thousands of people facing criminal and traffic charges in Central and Northwest Arkansas. He understands the consequences of a criminal conviction, and how it can negatively impact a person’s life for many years to come. As such, he is passionate about helping minimize the damage of criminal charges on a person’s life. Matthew’s number one priority is to aggressively look for ways to win cases and fight to get great outcomes for the clients of Norwood & Norwood, P.A..

Matthew was hand-picked by Norwood & Norwood, P.A. to be part of the felony, DWI, and criminal defense legal team after the firm’s partners heard about his experience and skill.

Matthew earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law. While in law school, Matthew spent almost every day in courtrooms defending clients in Pulaski County. Matthew gained valuable experience working as a judicial law clerk for the Arkansas Supreme Court and defending clients at one of the largest criminal defense firms in Little Rock. He was also appointed by the Governor of Arkansas to serve on the Arkansas Child Welfare Agency Review Board. Matthew was excited to join Norwood & Norwood, P.A. because of their reputation as zealous advocates for their clients.

Northwest Arkansas is Matthew’s home. He is married and enjoys spending his free time playing golf and attending Razorback games.
