About

Alison Lee has primarily focused on criminal defense, appellate, and civil rights cases for twenty years. She has been with Norwood & Norwood, P.A. for the majority of her legal career and has successfully handled well over 1,000 felony and misdemeanor cases. She is a highly-respected appellate attorney and is known nationally for her work on high-profile federal civil rights cases.

Alison holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law and an honors English degree from the University of Arkansas. She is licensed in Arkansas, the federal Western District of Arkansas, and the federal Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has argued cases in most courtrooms in Northwest Arkansas, and has argued many times before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Alison believes that being well-rounded and supporting the community adds to her ability to represent clients from all walks of life. Currently, she is Chair of the Committee of One Hundred, a non-profit dedicated to supporting the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas; an organization that was recently inducted into the Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame. She is also past president of the Buffalo River Foundation. Professionally, she is very involved in attorney continuing legal education, and is the most recent past President of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Alison also taught appellate litigation at the University of Arkansas School of Law as an adjunct professor.

In her free time, Alison loves spending time with her family, listening to live music, floating rivers, and traveling.
