About
Meet Alison
For twenty years, Alison Lee has been a fierce advocate in the courtroom and a trusted name across Arkansas's legal community. As a partner at Norwood & Norwood, P.A., she has built a career defending the accused, fighting for civil rights, and shaping appellate law — successfully handling well over 1,000 felony and misdemeanor cases along the way. She is recognized nationally for her work on high-profile federal civil rights cases and is widely regarded as one of the region's premier appellate attorneys.
Alison earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law, following an honors degree in English from the same university — a combination that shows in both her sharp legal analysis and her persuasive advocacy. She is licensed to practice in Arkansas, the federal Western District of Arkansas, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she has argued numerous times. Few attorneys in Northwest Arkansas have stood before as many courtrooms, or argued as many appeals, as she has.
But Alison's commitment to justice doesn't end at the courthouse doors. She believes that being deeply engaged in her community makes her a better advocate for clients from every walk of life. She currently chairs the Committee of One Hundred, a nonprofit supporting the Ozark Folk Center — an organization recently inducted into the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame — and previously served as president of the Buffalo River Foundation. Within the legal profession, she is the immediate past president of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has shared her expertise as an adjunct professor of appellate litigation at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
Her dedication has earned recognition well beyond the courtroom, including repeated selection as a Super Lawyer (2021–2026), a Super Lawyers Rising Star honor, recognition among Best Lawyers' "Best DWI/DUI Lawyers in Arkansas," and a top rating on Avvo.
When she steps away from the law, Alison can usually be found with her family, floating an Arkansas river, catching live music, or planning her next trip.
