The Big Dog in Court May 6, 2025

I was in an accident due to a tire failure causing me to go into a ditch and roll my truck. I was sent to the E.R. by Mediflight about 2 hours after the accident I was greeted by a state trooper trying to charge me with things that were not true. DUI/DWI due to my speech impediment. I was recommended Brad Carlton from a friend. He was able to make sure I didn't lose my license while fighting the charge in court. When things were all said and done, I only had to pay a traffic ticket of careless driving. The state dismissed the DWI charge. I would highly recommend Brad Carlton to anyone dealing with accused DWIs. The best part was the day in court he walks in and all the other lawyers say, 'Here comes the big dog.'

I would give 100 stars if I could… I will start from the beginning. I made a huge mistake 8 years ago, thinking I could drive my friends home. I was pulled over and refused the breathalyzer. I was scared and didn’t know what to do. Also, they found old Adderall pills in my car, which were honestly not mine! So now, possession and a DUI. I immediately called Norwood and Norwood and was assigned to Angela Hyde. She miraculously was able to drop the possession charge. I took my DUI classes and had the device in my car for 6 months. But I was all over the news and lost my job and my home. Fast forward 8 years and I made the mistake of drinking too many martinis at a friend's house. When I saw the blue lights I fell into a huge panic and began bawling. I had a great new job and life and it was happening all over again. So I called Norwood and Norwood again and was assigned to Brad Carlton. I was skeptical at first when he explained that it was mandatory 6 nights in jail for it being my 2nd offense. However, after that first phone call, I knew he was golden. He would not stop until he got me on work release. The prosecutor objected to it, but Brad kept asking for continuances, stating he was confident this could be done. Then things changed.. I found out I was pregnant and my life turned upside down. This was all my fault and this baby was going to suffer because of my mistake. BRAD CARLTON NEVER GAVE UP ON ME. He texted and emailed me, asking how I was doing and keeping me informed on what was going on (the prosecutor finally agreed to work release). Then I had huge scare and was rushed to the hospital. Everything turned out fine 🙏 But this scared me even more.. I am 42 and high risk, so I decided to send over all correspondence from my doctor and his nurses a the time me. After reading this Brad never gave up. Because of my condition and NO JAIL TIME I only received community service. I know this was a long story, but this stranger lawyer saved mine and my baby’s lives. This story about this lawyer from Norwood and Norwood needed to be told. I would have never guessed an attorney could be compassionate, brilliantly relentless, have care for his client while having a razor sharp mind on timing and professionalism. Never once did I feel left in the dark. I trusted him with my life and knew he would not let me down. It is almost as if he related to my life and emotions. Having said that, I could see the fire in him if it needed to come out. Absolutely FANTASTIC attorney. He belongs with Norwood and Norwood. Yes, I paid the basic price for him to represent me- but he did his job to the utmost fullest and I can start my life now with my new husband and new baby boy.

Great law office to go with, they will work with you and keep you informed. It seems they’ve been around a while and know the courts around here and know what judges they are working with and how to handle them. Kylie is a straight-up baller in the courtroom and doesn’t miss a beat, she got all 3 charges of mine thrown out, one of them being a DWI 2nd offense. The state even had 2 civilian witnesses. She definitely did a great job fighting this case for me and I will always be thankful for that.
